What this site is

ThePetAdvisor publishes structured guides to AKC conformation dog shows: dates, entry deadlines, judges, venues, hotels, and travel. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Verify before you act

Our show data is compiled from official sources — AKC, kennel clubs, show superintendents, and premium lists — and every fact is labeled as verified or pending. But dates, venues, judges, and entry deadlines can change, and errors are possible. Before entering a show, booking travel, or making plans:

  • Confirm closing dates and details with the show superintendent.
  • Check the official premium list — it's the final authority, not us.

We do our best to keep guides accurate, but we're not liable for changes, errors, or anything that happens because you relied on this site — missed entries, travel costs, or otherwise. Use the guides as a starting point, not the last word.

Who owns what

  • Our content is ours. The text, design, and organization of ThePetAdvisor belong to us. You're welcome to link to our pages and quote brief excerpts with credit — please don't republish whole guides.
  • Show and club names belong to their owners. Names like "Montgomery," "Devon," "Westminster," kennel club names, and the AKC name and marks are the property of their respective organizations. We use them only to identify the events.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no scraping it aggressively enough to degrade service, no attempting to break in, no impersonating us, and no using our content to mislead people about shows. If you build something on our data, say where it came from.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site — including hotel booking links — are affiliate links. If you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It doesn't change what you pay, and it doesn't change which hotels we list: our lodging lists come from the official premium booklets, not from who pays us. This keeps the guides free.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows (user accounts are coming). The effective date at the top always shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
