Greater Columbia Obedience Club Fast CAT

Three days of AKC Fast CAT and Coursing Ability Tests — Friday through Sunday, October 23–25, 2026 — at Mickle’s Farm in Blythewood, South Carolina, hosted by the Greater Columbia Obedience Club and run by Time To Fly Performance Dog Sports. Six Fast CAT tests and six CABTs, two of each per day, on a grass surface with independently fenced fields. Open to all AKC-registered dogs and mixed breeds enrolled in AKC Canine Partners. Advance entries closed Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM Eastern — late entries are accepted online and day-of entries are welcome.

Also at Mickle’s Farm this weekend Sharing the site and the weekend — but run by a separate organizer — On The Lamb Herding ran its AKC Titlethon alongside Time To Fly’s Fast CAT events, October 23–25, 2026. The Titlethon format covers Farm Dog, Temperament Test (ATT), Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Community Canine (CGCA), Fetch, Trick Dog, and Herding Instinct certificate testing. These tests were not part of the Greater Columbia Obedience Club event above; they were a co-located companion event at the same farm on the same weekend.

Entry fees

$28 for each advance entry (per dog per test), including the AKC recording fee; late entries $33 per test. A $1 convenience fee is added to all online entries (non-refundable) Verified 2026

Late / day-of entries

Late entries are accepted online beginning at 6:00 PM Eastern on October 13, immediately after advance entry closed, at $33 per test; day-of entries are also accepted. Late entry run times are posted Monday of event week. PayPal is accepted for late entries when possible — bring cash or check as a backup

Two Fast CAT tests and two Coursing Ability Tests each day — twelve tests across the weekend:

Exhibitor runs begin at 8:00 AM. Fast CAT runs in one-hour time blocks with the two tests running concurrently; preferred time blocks are not guaranteed. Check-in opens at the start of each block, followed by inspection for fitness, lameness, and in-season females — dogs must be inspected before each run, and dogs are not brought to check-in. The Coursing Ability Test field runs on a rolling roll call (first come, first served), starting at 9:30 AM on Friday and 9:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday.

Mickle’s Farm is at 1046 Mickle Rd, Blythewood, SC 29016. The Fast CAT track and the CABT field are on grass and independently fenced with 48-inch flexible mesh fencing. Verified 2026

Running order & check-in

Blocks open at the top of the hour, so early arrival is suggested — dogs not checked in by the quarter hour may lose priority and be moved to the next block or handled as late entries. If you have multiple dogs, or dogs that need rest between runs, enter them in different time blocks. A lunch break may be taken between 12:00 and 1:00 PM on Friday and Saturday; there is no lunch break on Sunday, and all first runs must be checked in by 1:00 PM on Sunday.
