Dated, source-backed analysis of our own listing data — each report states its question, its method, its limitations, and the frozen data snapshot behind every number.
These reports are original analysis of ThePetAdvisor’s own listings and records. They are not generic articles: every report starts from a defined question and a defined query against our data, publishes its methodology and its limitations alongside its findings, and freezes the data it ran against so the findings stay reproducible after the underlying data moves on. Reports are dated, versioned records — never silently updated in place.
What a report covers is bounded by what the data supports. Where the data cannot answer a question, the report says so instead of publishing the unsupported conclusion. How to cite a report
Cite the report page by its URL and its publication date, and name the data snapshot it ran against. A report is a record of what our listing inventory showed on its publication date — not a statement about the AKC calendar as a whole, and not an official source. Where a report’s findings rest on our own listings, say so.
