2024

National specialty

The 76th Annual National Specialty — a show week, Wednesday–Sunday, May 8–12, 2024, with conformation Friday–Sunday, May 10–12, 2024, at Peek’n Peak Resort, 1405 Old Road, Clymer, New York. Entry: 125 entries and 108 competitors (59 dogs, 49 bitches). Entries opened Friday, March 1, 2024, and closed Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at noon ET. Event Chair: Karen Park. Superintendent: Jim Rau Dog Shows. (Sources: AKC event search, event 2024200409; 2024 National Specialty premium list (Rau Dog Shows).)

National specialty judges: Mrs. C S Angus — regular classes (per the AKC event record; the premium listed Ms. Cat Zavoras, and a judge change appears to have occurred). Mrs. Melody Fuller — sweepstakes. Mrs. Charlotte Radondy — futurity. Russell Hornfisher — obedience and rally. Best Junior Handler: Braedy Cooper. (Sources: AKC event search, event 2024200409; 2024 National Specialty premium list (Rau Dog Shows).)

Results. The 2024 Best of Breed winner has not been verified in an official source as of November 2026: a Canadian Dog Fancier report names a winner but also names the national judge as Cat Zavoras, conflicting with the AKC record, and gives no full registered name, so no winner is listed here rather than a wrong one. (Sources: AKC event search, event 2024200409; 2024 National Specialty premium list (Rau Dog Shows).)

Results.
