What is the Land O'Lakes Kennel Club show?

The Land O’Lakes Kennel Club’s January weekend is the Upper Midwest’s flagship winter show: three all-breed shows — Friday through Sunday, January 8–10, 2027 — at the Saint Paul RiverCentre in downtown St. Paul. The 2026 edition drew more than 1,200 dogs of nearly 200 breeds, with Meet the Breeds areas, a daily puppy showcase for 4–6-month-olds, and a vendor marketplace alongside the rings.

It is a true destination weekend: exhibitors travel from across the northern states for three shots at majors in a single trip, all indoors in January.

The club traditionally hosts Minnesota January Specialties on Friday and Saturday alongside its all-breed shows — the 2027 specialty lineup will be confirmed when the premium publishes. The 2027 judging panel is pending AKC approval.

Can you still enter?

Yes — for now. Entries close Wednesday, December 23, 2026, through superintendent Onofrio Dog Shows. Entry fees are $36 for the first entry and $28 for each additional entry of the same dog. The 2027 premium list has not been published yet — verify entry limits and class offerings with Onofrio before the closing date.

Attending in person

The show is open to the public and is one of the best spectator weekends in the region: nearly 200 breeds, Meet the Breeds areas where you can talk to breeders, a puppy showcase, and a marketplace. Leave personal dogs at home. Check the premium for admission and parking when it publishes.

The Saint Paul RiverCentre is at 175 W. Kellogg Blvd. in downtown St. Paul. The closest major airport is Minneapolis–Saint Paul International (MSP). Downtown St. Paul fills for this weekend — book early and confirm pet policies directly with the hotel.
