What is this show?
The Florida Gulf Coast Cluster II is five all-breed AKC conformation shows in five days at Florida Classic Park in Brooksville, Florida — hosted by the Hernando County, Pasco Florida, Tampa Bay, Clearwater, and Manatee kennel clubs. It is the second of the two January clusters at the same venue (Cluster I runs January 14–18), so exhibitors can show ten straight days without moving their setup.
The cluster runs the full AKC menu: the National Owner-Handled Series every day, 4–6 Month Beginner Puppy, Junior Showmanship, Miscellaneous and FSS open shows, Best Bred by Exhibitor in Show, Junior Showcase obedience and rally on Sunday, AKC Temperament Tests, Pee Wee, and CAT/Fast CAT coursing through both cluster weeks. Off the rings, the traditions are half the draw: the annual exhibitor barbecue, the doggy flea market, and Purina Pro Plan coffee and continental breakfast every morning.

Why go?
Ten days, one setup. That is the whole pitch of the Florida Gulf Coast Clusters: Cluster I and Cluster II run back to back at Florida Classic Park, giving winter-weary exhibitors from the North two full weeks of shows in Florida sunshine.
Everything in one place. Five clubs, five shows, plus specialties, sweepstakes, and performance events — majors are realistic here because the entries are deep.
The extras. The annual barbecue the Tuesday before the cluster, the doggy flea market, morning coffee courtesy of Purina Pro Plan, and CAT/Fast CAT coursing running through both clusters make this a working vacation, not just a show weekend.
NOHS every day. Owner-handlers get five straight days of National Owner-Handled Series competition — a serious points opportunity to open the year.
